The Knight of the Burning Pestle is a satirical play written by Francis Beaumont. It was first performed at Blackfrials Theatre in 1607 and published in a quarto in 1613. The play is the earliest complete parody in English literature. It mocks chivalric romances, drawing comparisons to Don Quixote. It also parodies works by Thomas Heywood and Thomas Dekker.
