Written as a last letter to Beckett, the writer explains that if it is being read, they have died, and asks Beckett, as a best friend, to leave the army and go to Telluride to help their sister Ella, who is raising twins alone after losing her grandmother, parents, and now her brother, and who faces another undisclosed hardship tearing her family apart.
