About “The long result”

A 1965 novel by John Brunner follows a series of attacks targeting extraterrestrial visitors on Earth. A rocket ship carrying an important alien is destroyed when its engines fail. An alien transport vehicle is crashed into, and the controlled environment for a Tau Cetian delegation is sabotaged, causing oxygen leaks that nearly kill the aliens. A group called The Stars Are For Man League seeks to disrupt peace between Earth and other planets, aiming to keep humanity dominant. Only one man, unaware that he is harboring a dangerous secret, can stop them. The story explores themes of racial hatred and conflict between species.
