About “The Memory Police”
A 1994 novel by Yōko Ogawa (published in Chinese translation here as a work about a small island where objects and their memories vanish one by one, such as ribbons, bells, stamps, and perfume). A mother collects the lost memories in a secret cabinet, while the narrator loses her parents and their belongings as more things disappear.
