About “The Murderess”
The Murderess is a 1903 novel by Greek writer Alexandros Papadiamantis. Written in the Greek katharevousa, it is divided into 17 chapters and was first published in pieces in the magazine Panathenaea from January to June 1903. It was later included in a 1912 collection that also featured five of Papadiamantis’ other works. The novel is considered a classic of Modern Greek literature and has been analyzed from both philological and criminological perspectives.
