About “The other hand”

The Other Hand, also known as Little Bee, is a 2008 novel by British author Chris Cleave. It tells the story of a Nigerian asylum-seeker and a British magazine editor who meet during the oil conflict in the Niger Delta and are later reunited in England. Cleave was inspired to write the book during his time working in an asylum detention centre as a university student. He aimed to highlight the struggles of asylum-seekers in Britain.
