Rene LeDeux returns to southern Louisiana after leaving his job as an environmental lobbyist in Washington, seeking solitude to work on his cabin on Bayou Black. His plans are disrupted when his great-aunt Tante Lulu pushes him to marry, his activist friends bring a kidnapped TV celebrity to his cabin, and the celebrity turns out to be Valerie "Ice" Breux, his former rival from childhood.
