Mark, Todd, and Zola are third-year law students at a third-tier, for-profit law school that is part of a chain owned by a New York hedge-fund operator who also owns a bank specializing in student loans. They discover that their school is part of a larger scam that leaves graduates with heavy debt and poor job prospects, prompting them to consider quitting school in order to expose the bank and the scam while escaping their financial burden.
