About “The Tale of Genji”
The Tale of Genji: Dreams at Dawn is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Waki Yamato. It is an adaptation of The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu, maintaining the original story while adding modern elements. The manga was published in Kodansha's shōjo magazines Mimi and Minmi Excellent from 1979 to 1993. The series was later collected into 13 tankōbon volumes.
