About “The Tea Rose”
The Tea Rose is set in East London in 1888 and follows Fiona Finnegan, a tea factory worker, and her relationship with Joe Bristow, a costermonger's son, as they strive to achieve their dream of owning a shop. After a violent attack by a man that takes everything she loves, Fiona flees London for New York, where she builds a successful business in the tea trade, but ultimately returns to London to confront the past that haunts her.
