The Turner Diaries is a 1978 novel written by William Luther Pierce, the founder of the white nationalist group National Alliance. Published under the pseudonym Andrew Macdonald, the book was first serialized in the National Alliance's publication Attack! from 1975 to 1978. It was later released in paperback by the National Alliance in 1978. By 2001, the novel had sold approximately 300,000 copies, primarily through mail order from the National Alliance.
