About “The Two Brothers”
"The Two Brothers" is a German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm, numbered 60 in their collection. It is classified under the Aarne-Thompson system as type 303, "The Blood Brothers," and includes an initial episode of type 567, "The Magic Bird Heart." A similar story, originating from Sicily, was also gathered by author and folklorist Andrew Lang in The Pink Fairy Book.
