On the 10th anniversary of his death, Carl Sagan's "Gifford Lectures in Natural Theology," titled The Varieties of Scientific Experience: A Personal View of the Search for God, was released. Sagan, a renowned astrophysicist and Pulitzer Prize winner, was invited to give the lectures in 1985, marking the centennial of the Gifford Lectureship.
