About “The Wind on the Moon”

The Wind on the Moon is a 1944 fantasy novel by Eric Linklater, published by Macmillan in 1944 with illustrations by Nicolas Bentley. An American edition was also released the same year. The story takes place in the fictional village of Midmeddlecum, set in contemporary rural England. It follows two girls whose father is away during a war. They experience magical, strange, or dangerous events, which are attributed to a "wind on the moon" that causes them to behave badly for a year. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
