About “Timm Thaler”
Timm Thaler is a 1979 German children's television miniseries based on the 1962 novel by James Krüss. It originally aired on ZDF in Germany as the first Christmas series on the network and was later acquired by the BBC for transmission in the United Kingdom in 1983, where it was retitled The Legend of Tim Tyler and aired on Children's BBC. The series was directed by Sigi Rothemund, with the screenplay adapted by Justus Pfaue and Peter M. Thouet, and featured Thomas Ohrner in the lead role of Timm Thaler and Horst Frank as the Baron.
