About “Titurel”

Titurel is a fragmentary Middle High German romance written by Wolfram von Eschenbach after 1217. The surviving fragments suggest that the story was intended as a prequel to Wolfram's earlier work, Parzival, and would have expanded on characters from that work and the theme of the Holy Grail. The poem was later continued by a poet named Albrecht, who completed the story in a version known as Jüngere Titurel. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
