About “To Tame a Land”

Rye Tyler, after his father's death in an Indian raid, is taken in by a mysterious stranger who teaches him survival skills and the value of books. After killing a man and leaving his home, Rye works as a horse breaker and later becomes marshal of Alta, only to return and track down Liza Hetrick, who has been kidnapped, leading him to confront the man who once taught him about life, guns, and friendship.
