Tokyo Mew Mew is a Japanese manga series created by Mia Ikumi and written by Reiko Yoshida. It was first serialized in Nakayoshi, a shōjo manga magazine published by Kodansha, from September 2000 to February 2003. The story is compiled into seven tankōbon volumes. The series follows five girls who gain special powers after being infused with the DNA of endangered animals, allowing them to transform into "Mew Mews."
