About “Tyndale Bible”
The Tyndale Bible refers to the body of biblical translations by the English biblical scholar and linguist William Tyndale, made circa 1522–1535. It is credited with being the first English-language biblical translation to work directly from Greek and, for the Pentateuch, Hebrew texts, though the Vulgate and German Bibles were also used.
