Un jardin sur l'Oronte is a novel by Maurice Barrès, first published in 1922 by Plon-Nourrit. The story was transcribed by Barrès from a tale told to him by an Irish archaeologist. The archaeologist had translated the story from a manuscript during an evening in June 1914 at a café in Hama, near the Orontes River.
