About “Under the Tuscan Sun”
Under the Tuscan Sun is a 1996 memoir by American author Frances Mayes. It was published by Random House and became a New York Times bestseller for more than two and a half years. The book was adapted into a 2003 film directed by Audrey Wells. It includes chapters of recipes and details how Mayes bought and restored an abandoned villa in the Tuscan countryside.
