About “Visio Tnugdali”
This 12th-century religious text reports the otherworldly vision of Irish knight Tnugdalus, whose name later became "Tundale" in English. It was one of the most popular texts in the medieval genre of visionary infernal literature, translated from Latin forty-three times into fifteen languages by the 15th century, remaining most popular in Germany with ten translations.
