About “War horse”

War Horse is a play adapted for stage by Nick Stafford, based on the 1982 novel of the same name by Michael Morpurgo. Initially, Morpurgo doubted the feasibility of adapting his work into a play, but the production became highly successful. The play premiered in the West End and on Broadway, directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris. A key element of the production is the life-size horse puppets created by the Handspring Puppet Company from South Africa, with movements designed by Toby Sedgwick.
