About “What is life? The physical aspect of the living cell”
What Is Life? is a 1944 non-fiction science book written by physicist Erwin Schrödinger for a general audience. It was based on a series of public lectures he gave in February 1943 at Trinity College, Dublin. The central question of the book was how the events within a living organism could be explained by physics and chemistry. Schrödinger proposed the concept of an "aperiodic crystal" that stored genetic information through its chemical structure. This idea influenced later scientific research, including the work of Francis Crick and James Watson in the 1950s.
