When We Dead Awaken is the final play written by Norwegian dramatist Henrik Ibsen. It was written between February and November 1899 and published in December of that year. The play had its first performance at the Haymarket Theatre in London just before its publication. The only Broadway production of the play took place at the Knickerbocker Theatre from March 7 to 10, 1905, and then moved to the Princess Theatre, where it ran until April 1905.
