About “Wubei Zhi”
The Wubei Zhi is a military book from China. It was compiled in 1621 by Mao Yuanyi, an officer who served in the waterborne troops of the Ming dynasty. The book is extensive, consisting of 240 volumes, 10,405 pages, and more than 200,000 Chinese characters. It is one of the largest military texts from the Ming period.
