About “Yawning Heights”
Yawning Heights is the first novel by Soviet philosopher Alexander Zinoviev, published in 1976. The story takes place in the fictional city of Ibansk and uses satire to critique Soviet society. The novel has been compared to the works of Jonathan Swift and Lewis Carroll. Zinoviev's work offers a critical and humorous perspective on the political and social structures of his time.
