Zatch Bell!, known in Japan as Konjiki no Gash!!, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Makoto Raiku. It was serialized in Shogakukan's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday from January 2001 to December 2007, and later collected in thirty-three tankōbon volumes. The story follows Zatch Bell, a mystical Mamodo, who teams up with a 14-year-old boy named Kiyo Takamine. Together, they take part in a rare tournament on Earth that decides the ruler of the Mamodo world. Throughout their journey, they face other Mamodo and their human partners in battle, while also meeting allies who support Zatch in his goal to become a just and kind king.
