About “Wings”

Masklin's mission is to find a human named Richard Arnold and take him from England to Florida. He plans to steal a jet plane to make the journey, believing it is easier than stealing a truck. Once there, he must locate the "launch" of a "communications satellite" and get the Thing into the sky so it can contact the ship that will take the nomes home. Despite the challenges, Masklin proceeds with his plan, unaware of its difficulty, as the fate of his people depends on his success. This is the central plot of a 1990 novel by Terry Pratchett.
