Buffy and the Scoobies are not surprised when Willow joins the drama club's production. However, Sunnydale's reputation as a supernatural hotspot leads Willow to discover a connection between drama and magic, as ancient Greek performances were often rituals to the gods. Spice, a vampire with a past interest in the arts, confirms this link and becomes unusually involved in Willow's activities. As paranormal events and ghostly appearances endanger her, Willow begins to question whether it's time to leave the stage behind.
