About “Hmannan Yazawin”
Hmannan Maha Yazawindawgyi is the first official chronicle of the Konbaung Dynasty of Burma (Myanmar). It was compiled by the Royal Historical Commission between 1829 and 1832. The work drew from existing chronicles, local histories, and inscriptions collected under King Bodawpaya's order, as well as poetry that described the epics of kings. While the compilers questioned some earlier accounts, they largely kept the content from Maha Yazawin, the standard chronicle of the Toungoo Dynasty. The chronicle serves as a historical record of the Konbaung period. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
