About “Mizzimadetha Ayedawbon”
Mizzimadetha Ayedawbon is a Burmese chronicle that documents the history of Arakan following the Konbaung Dynasty's annexation of the Mrauk-U Kingdom, from 1785 to 1816. It was composed in 1823 by Ne Myo Zeya Kyawhtin, who served as the Konbaung governor of Sandoway, also known as Thandwe. Ne Myo Zeya Kyawhtin was the son of a Rakhine (Arakanese) father and a Bamar (Burman) mother from Ava royalty. The chronicle provides a historical account from the perspective of the Konbaung administration during a period of political transition in the region. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
