About “Dawn”
The California Diaries series is a spin-off of Ann M. Martin's The Baby-Sitters Club, presented as first-person journals created as a school project requiring students to document their lives in their own way. In the first book, Dawn and her best friend Sunny are not speaking to each other until Sunny's mother returns home from cancer treatment to die.
