About “Fixing It for Freddie”

"Fixing it for Freddie" is a short story by P. G. Wodehouse featuring the young gentleman Bertie Wooster and his valet Jeeves. The story was originally written under a different title and character name, starring Reggie Pepper. It was first published in the United Kingdom in September 1911 in The Strand Magazine under the title "Helping Freddie." It was later published in the United States in March 1912 in Pictorial Review under the title "Lines and Business." The story was later revised and included in the 1925 collection Carry On, Jeeves, where it was renamed "Fixing it for Freddie" and reworked to feature Bertie Wooster and Jeeves.
