About “Casca: God of Death”
Casca is a series of historical fantasy novels created by Barry Sadler in 1979, centering on the character Casca Rufio Longinus, a Roman legionary who drove the Holy Lance into the side of Jesus Christ on Golgotha. As punishment for this act, Casca is cursed with immortality and condemned to wander the Earth as a soldier until the Second Coming. The character is loosely based on the Christian Longinus legend.
