About “Casca: The Samurai”
Casca: The Samurai is a historical fantasy novel by Barry Sadler, first published in 1979 as part of the Casca series. The story follows Casca Rufio Longinus, a Roman legionary who pierced the side of Jesus Christ with the Holy Lance at Golgotha, earning him a curse of immortality and a fate to wander the Earth as a soldier until the Second Coming. The character is inspired by the Christian Longinus legend.
