Twelve Angry Librarians finds Charlie Harris, known around Athena, Mississippi, for walking his rescued Maine Coon cat Diesel, worried he may soon be taken for a walk himself in handcuffs. As interim library director, Charlie must welcome the Southern Academic Libraries Association's annual meeting, where the keynote speaker is his old library-school nemesis Gavin Fong. When Gavin is found dead after a heated argument with Charlie, Charlie becomes the top suspect.
