Arthur Parnassus, headmaster of a strange orphanage on a peculiar island, hopes to adopt the six dangerous and magical children who live there, aided by his partner Linus Baker, the island's sprite Zoe Chapelwhite, and her girlfriend Mayor Helen Webb.
