About “Madwand”

Pol Detson, son of Lord Det of Rondoval, has returned home. He is a powerful sorcerer with natural talent in a world where magic is the only true power. However, his abilities are untrained, making him a "madwand." To control his powers and take his father's place, he must endure difficult training and a challenging initiation into the ways of sorcery. Pol has a dragon and a thief as friends, but he also faces powerful enemies, including the most skilled wizards in the land. One of them wants him dead. This is a follow-up to The Changling and was published as a 1981 novel by Roger Zelazny.
