About “The Noble Outlaw”

In 1195, the discovery of a partially mummified corpse during renovations at a new school in Exeter disrupts the town, prompting Sir John de Wolfe, the county coroner, to investigate. Richard de Revelle, the school's founder, quickly blames Nicholas de Arundell, a young outlawed knight living on Dartmoor, though Sir John uncovers that Nicholas has a motive for resentment. After a second death occurs, Sir John must track down the 'noble outlaw' to solve the mystery.
