About “Les Chétifs (Chanson des Chétifs)”
The Chanson des Chétifs is an Old French chanson de geste that forms part of the Crusade Cycle, situated midway between the Chanson d'Antioche and the Chanson de Jérusalem. It derives its name from its central figures, knights captured at the beginning of the Crusade during the defeat of Peter the Hermit's army at Civetot.
