About “Gone West”
In September 1926, Daisy Dalrymple visits an old school friend, Sybil Sutherby, in Derbyshire, who works as personal secretary to novelist Humphrey Birtwhistle and suspects something is amiss with him. Daisy finds a household of relatives and friends living off his hospitality, funded by his pseudonymous Western sales, but before she can investigate properly, Birtwhistle dies, leaving Daisy a death to untangle and a house full of suspects.
