About “The Forests of Silence”
The Forests of Silence is a 2000 novel by Emily Rodda, part of the Deltora Quest series. The evil Shadow Lord plots to invade Deltora and enslave its people, and when the seven gems of the magic Belt of Deltora are stolen and hidden throughout the kingdom, he triumphs. In secrecy with only a hand-drawn map, 16-year-old Lief and former palace guard Barda set out on a quest to find the gems, struggling toward their first goal, the sinister Forests of Silence.
