About “Present danger”
Professor Bernice Surprise Summerfield, known as Benny, is a fictional character created by Paul Cornell. She was introduced as a new companion of the Seventh Doctor in Virgin Publishing's New Adventures series, which continued the Doctor Who story after the television series. The New Adventures featured writers who had worked on the show as well as new authors.
