About “The Sontaran Games”
The Sontaran Games is a 2009 novel by Jacqueline Rayner, part of the Doctor Who Quick Reads. The TARDIS lands at an academy for top athletes hoping to be chosen for the Globe Games, but the Doctor discovers unexplained deaths have been hushed up. Teaming with a swimmer named Emma, he investigates, only to find a squad of Sontarans invading the academy and forcing him into their own deadly version of the Games. The novel features the Doctor as played by David Tennant.
