The Sword of Forever is a 1998 novel by Jim Mortimore featuring Professor Bernice Surprise Summerfield, a fictional character created by Paul Cornell as a new companion of the Seventh Doctor in Virgin Publishing's New Adventures range of original Doctor Who novels.
