About “Fall; or, Dodge in Hell”
In his youth, Richard "Dodge" Forthrast founded Corporation 9592, a gaming company that made him a multibillionaire; now in his middle years he is enjoying a comfortable life until a routine medical procedure goes irrevocably wrong and he is pronounced brain dead. Per an old directive, his brain is scanned and its data uploaded to the cloud, eventually revived through technology into an eternal afterlife called the Bitworld, where humans exist as digital souls in a world that is not the utopia it first appears to be.
