About “Dead on the Track”

Near the small settlement of Filmerham, the station-master finds a body lying close to the tracks near the station. Because of a wartime shortage of police officers, the retired Superintendent Hanslet is asked to investigate. Using a deduction made earlier by Priestley in a similar case, Hanslet works to uncover the truth behind the death. The story is a detective novel by John Rhode.
