About “Dr. Priestley's Quest”
Dr. Priestley's Quest, first published in 1926, is the second book in the Dr. Priestley detective story series. Mysterious warnings are sent to murder victims, instructing them to avoid the places where their bodies are later found. The second recipient of such a warning is ultimately killed, despite all efforts to protect him. The story is described as spine tingling. Dr. Priestley solves the case after discovering a packing case made of unusual material and held together with brass screws, which leads him to the unexpected suspect.
