Tragedy on the Line is a 1931 detective novel by John Rhode, the pen name of British author Cecil Street. It is the tenth book in a series featuring Lancelot Priestley, a clever armchair detective. Priestley works with Superintendent Hanslet, a less perceptive police officer from Scotland Yard. The novel was published in the United States in the same year by Dodd Mead.
